My consulting is about developing the mindset and the muscle of my client organizations to continuously translate threats into opportunities.
Cindy is convinced the survival and growth of organizations today is a function of their culture-competence. The immensely multicultural workplaces and markets networked around the globe, the new technologies keeping people connected @ the speed of thought, and a largely millennials-based workforce is both an immense opportunity and an imminent threat. “My consulting is about developing the mindset and the muscle of my client organizations to continuously translate threats into opportunities,” Cindy remarks with a chuckle.
A PhD in social psychology from Wilfred Laurier University, Cindy has years of consulting experience where she helped a number of Fortune 100 companies. Her way to transform an organization is about analyzing the cultural dynamics of functional departments, identifying “performance black holes,” and designing and implementing training-based interventions enabling people to come together actualizing their personal potentials in-sync with the development goals of an organization. Of course, Cindy says, “Every problem is a ‘people’ problem.”
Cindy conducts workshops, seminars and talks across Canada and the U.S. on diversity communication, group dynamics, personality theory, marketing, and political psychology. She has an exclusive focus on helping Waterloo Region start-ups, local municipal governments and local non-profit organizations with their diversity communication challenges.
Cindy believes “our workshops at the Behaviour Skills Company are unique in that we guide people through fun and engaging activities that help them get to their own “light-bulb” moment.” “That is when the magic happens: When true understanding is not being taught, but rather, being learned in a deep and meaningful way that will carry on with positive impact 360 degrees.”
Cindy is a long-term resident of Kitchener-Waterloo; a strong advocate of community; and a lover and advocate for the arts.
